NGESONTO elidlule umCwaningimabhuku-Jikelele uNksz uTsakani Maluleke ushicilele umbiko okhombisa ukuthi iphathwe kanjani imali komasipala ngonyaka wezimali u-2021/22. Lo mbiko uveze ukuthi bahlehlele emuva omasipala. 

Isibalo somasipala esithole imibiko engenagcobho sehlile sabawu-38, sisuka kwabawu-41 ngo-2020/21. Omasipala abawu-104 bathole imibiko emihle kodwa enogcobho, isibalo esikhuphukile sisuka ku-100, kwathi abathole imibiko emibi futhi enogcobho behla besuka ku-83, baya ku-78. 

Abathole imibiko emibi bayisithupha besuka kwabane, kwathi abathole imibiko engahlanganiseki kwakuhlanganiseka banyuka bafinyelela kwabawu-26 besuka kwewu-15 ngonyaka wezimali odlule. Kukhona abawu-16 abangayilethanga nhlobo imibiko yabo, isibalo esinyukile sisuka kwabathathu ngonyaka wezimali odlule.

UNksz uMaluleke uthe esinye sezizathu esibe nesandla kulo mphumela wukushintsha kwabaholi bepolitiki komasipala ngenxa yokhetho lohulumeni bezindawo ngo-2021.

Umbiko wayo, i-2022 Municipal Financial Sustainability Index, okowucwaningo olwenziwa komasipala besifunda abawu-104 nama-metro ayisishiyagalombili ezweni, uveze ukuthi omasipala abawu-107 basengcupheni yokungabinamali nhlobo.
