INTSHA yaseNingizimu Afrika ithwele kanzima njengoba ewu-4.7 million ingasebenzi. Ucwaningo olusha lwase-University of Cape Town (i-UCT) lukhombisa ukuthi ayiqashwa ngisho isihlome ngeziqu zemfundo ephakeme.

Ngokusho kukasolwazi uKurt April, usihlalo wenkampani etshala imali i-Allan Gray nomqondisi wesikhungo sayo esise-UCT i-Allan Gray Centre for Values-Based Leadership, izinkampani ziqinisekisa ukuthi ziqasha izisebenzi ngezindlela zakudala ezihambisana nebala nezinga lomuntu. 

“Okwenza lolu cwaningo luhluke wukuthi alukhombi ukungabinamakhono kwabafuna umsebenzi kodwa lukhombisa ukuthi noma sebenamakhono kodwa izinkampani zinendlela yazo yokuqasha ebakhipha inyumbazana,” kusho yena.

U-April uthi izindlela ezisetshenziswa yizinkampani zenza ukuthi intsha emnyama efundile isale ngaphandle uma sekuqashwa ngenxa yokubhekwayo. 

Ucwaningo lwabo luphakamisa ukuthi izinkampani ziyeke ukugxila ekutheni umuntu ubukeka kanjani, okuvamise ukuthi abamhlophe kubeyibona abaphambili ekutholeni umsebenzi.

“Siphakamisa ukuthi abantu baqashwe ngamakhono neziqu abanazo, kungabikhona ukwenzelela okuhambisana nebala. Ukuqasha umuntu ngokuthi uzojwayeleka kwasebenza nabo kwandisa ukungalingani ezweni. Kuyiqiniso ukuthi inkinga yokusweleka kwemisebenzi ikhona emhlabeni wonke kodwa eNingizimu Afrika izibalo zentsha eswele umsebenzi zinyuka kakhulu,” kusho yena. 

Usomnotho ozimele uMnu uDuma Gqubule uthe inkinga yokusweleka komsebenzi ezweni idinga uhulumeni uyisukumele ngokushesha ukuze nemboni ezimele izogqugquzeleka ukuyixazulula.

Uthe uhulumeni kufanele utshale imali ezinhlelweni zokwakha umsebenzi eziqasha intsha kakhulu ngokusebenzisa izigidi zomshwalense osiza abantu abadiliziwe i-Unemployment Insurance Fund futhi ugcine izithembiso zawo zokuvuselela ingqalasizinda.

Uthi loku kuzogqugquzela imboni ezimele ukuthi itshale imali bese kudaleka imisebenzi.
