UKUSWELA umsebenzi ngemva kokuphothula iziqu enyuvesi kwakhumbuza insizwa yaseMgungundlovu, KwaZulu-Natali, imfundiso kagogo owayikhulisa ngokulima.

UMnu uSiboniso Madlala ungumnikazi weBequethal Enterprise, inkampani yezolimo etshala nedayisa amaveji. Wayisungula ngo-2021 iBequethal Enterprise, igama aphrofetha ngalo isifiso sakhe sokudlulisela umsebenzi ezizukulwaneni.

UMadlala usebenzise imali ayenze ngokudayisa umbila emgwaqweni eRichards Bay, eKZNat. Ulima epulazini elingamahekthare amahlanu aliqashe eJozini, enyakatho yesifundazwe.

Elanda ngokungena kwakhe kwezolimo, uthe wenza i-Bachelor in Applied Physics & Mathematics eNyuvesi yaKwaZulu-Natali, okuthe angayiphothula ngo-2015 akangawuthola umsebenzi.

“Kube nzima kakhulu ukuqhubeka nempilo, ngiswele umsebenzi futhi ingekho nendlela yokuqhubeka nezifundo zami ngoba ekhaya singamile kahle. Loko kuphoqe ukuthi ngicabange enye indlela yokuqhubeka nempilo,” kusho yena.

Ngenxa yokuthi wakhuliswe wugogo owayelima futhi emkhuthaza ukulima, wanquma ukubuyela esikoleni wenza i-BSc in Agriculture and Agronomy e-University of Zululand, ayiphothule ngo-2018.

“Bengingakhathazekile nhlobo ngesikhathi engisisebenzise ngenza izifundo zolimo ngoba ngase ngithole ukuthi zinamathuba amaningi futhi kwakungeke kusize ngalutho ukuhlala ekhaya ngingenzi lutho.”

Kuthe eseliqalile ibhizinisi kodwa kwakhona izinselelo. “Nalapho futhi akubanga lula ngoba kwathi ibhizinisi liseza kahle kwaba nezikhukhula ezashiya konakele yonke into ezitshalweni zami,” kusho yena.

Waqhubeka nokuzikhandla ngomsebenzi, nempela ukusebenza kanzima kwathela izithelo ebhizinisini lakhe. “Manje sengidayisa (isivuno sami) eRoots Butchery yaseJozini, izitolo zeSPAR zaseRichards Bay neFood Lovers Market kanti sengiqashe izisebenzi ezisisishiyagalombili ngokugcwele neziwu-30 eziyitoho,” kusho uMadlala.

Nakuba ibhizinisi lihamba kahle kodwa ukhale ngenkinga yokusokola ngamanzi endaweni nenkinga yokucima kukagesi. 

Yize kunzima kunjalo, uthi uzoqhubeka nokuzikhandla ukukhulisa ibhizinisi lakhe.

“Ngifuna ukugcina nginepulazi lami engizosebenza kulona ngokukhululeka, kungabi bikho imali ezolokhu iphuma ngiqasha umhlaba,” kuphetha uMadlala.
